Free Summer Programming with Elevate Youth! Who: Rising 9th-12th Graders When: June 23rd - July 30th, Tuesdays-Thursdays Looking for something real to do this summer? From June 23 to July 30 (Tuesday to Thursday), rising high school students can join Elevate Youth! for six weeks of hands-on experiences and field trips. Programming will take place at four different community sites. Participants will engage in fun activities, including nature-based learning, sports, digital media, art & improv, and leadership development. This is a great opportunity for teens to stay active, build skills, and connect with peers in a positive environment at no cost to families. Six weeks. Real experiences. Zero cost. Community Aid: Brooklyn Center Community Schools Family Resource Rooms

Support Brooklyn Center Community Schools Family Resource Rooms Support Brooklyn Center Community Schools (BCCS) families by donating essential home items, food, or monetary gifts. Contributions to BCCS Family Resource Rooms help provide personal care items, household supplies, clothing, and kids’ essentials, while food donations to CAPI ensure families receive fresh and shelf-stable groceries. Monetary donations to the Brooklyn’s Response & Recovery Fund and CAPI go directly toward meeting urgent family needs. BCCS Family Resource Rooms at all school sites are open from Mondays to Fridays, between 7:30 a.m. and 4 p.m., for donation drop-offs. CAPI coordinates food boxes for staff to deliver directly to Brooklyn Center families. To donate food supplies to CAPI, visit their Food Shelf location during the following hours: Drop Off Times: Tuesdays from 1-4 p.m., Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1-4 p.m. Drop O

Now Recruiting Youth Directors to join the BBAY Board! This January, BBAY will welcome four new Youth Directors to the Board. Youth Directors participate fully in board conversations, vote on key actions, and bring valuable perspectives. If you are connected to Brooklyn Center and/or Brooklyn Park, we'd love for you to consider joining our board and guiding our work. This is a stipended position.
