Culturally Responsive Tutoring (CRT)

Culturally responsive learning rooted in relationships and care.

Program Overview

Culturally Responsive Tutoring (CRT) provides after-school academic support for high school students through relationship-centered, identity-affirming tutoring. CRT creates a supportive space where young people feel seen, understood, and empowered while strengthening core academic skills.

Tutors utilize practices that center students’ identities and lived experiences. The goal of CRT is to support academic growth while also fostering confidence, motivation, and a sense of belonging in school.
